Kia Sorento: Idle Stop and Go (ISG) system
The Idle Stop and Go system helps optimize urban fuel efficiency by automatically shutting down the engine of your Kia Sorento whenever the vehicle comes to a complete halt during traffic congestion or at traffic signals.
The engine initiates an immediate, seamless restart the moment you lift your foot off the brake or press the accelerator to resume driving.
The ISG feature remains active by default every time the vehicle engine is running.
TIP
When the ISG system automatically restarts the engine, certain warning icons such as ABS, ESC, ESC OFF, MDPS, or parking brake indicators may illuminate briefly on the instrument cluster. This is standard behavior caused by a momentary voltage drop during starter engagement and does not indicate a system malfunction.
