Kia Sorento (MQ4, 2021-2026) Owner's Manual / Driver Adjustments / Mirrors / Outside rearview mirror

Your Kia Sorento is equipped with both left and right outside rearview mirrors designed to provide optimal visibility and safety on the road.

Be sure to thoroughly check and adjust the mirror angles to suit your seating position before driving off.

You can adjust the mirrors remotely using the interior control levers or the electronic switch depending on the specific mirror control package installed in your vehicle. Additionally, you can fold the mirror housings inward toward the body to prevent accidental damage when entering an automatic car wash or when navigating narrow, congested city streets.

NOTE

Never attempt to scrape accumulated ice directly off the mirror face with sharp objects, as scraping will severely scratch and damage the surface of the glass. If ice restricts the mirror’s movement, do not force the motorized mechanism to adjust its position. To clear ice safely, use an approved automotive de-icer spray or apply warm water with a sponge or soft cloth.

TIP

If the mirror mechanism is jammed with frozen ice, do not attempt to force it into motion. Use an approved spray de-icer (never use radiator antifreeze) to quickly release the frozen mechanical components, or relocate your Kia Sorento to a heated indoor garage and allow the ice to melt naturally.

WARNING

Never attempt to manually adjust or fold the outside rearview mirrors while the vehicle is actively moving. Doing so introduces severe distractions and could result in a dangerous crash leading to serious personal injury or death.
