Kia Sorento: Panoramic sunroof (if equipped)
If your vehicle comes fitted with the panoramic glass sunroof, you can conveniently open, close, or tilt the glass panel using the integrated overhead console sunroof switch.
|
The panoramic sunroof can only be powered when the ENGINE START/STOP button is switched to the ON or START position.
You can continue to operate the sunroof for roughly 3 minutes after switching the ENGINE START/STOP button to the ACC or LOCK position. However, opening either of the front doors instantly deactivates the circuit, preventing power window or sunroof operation even within that 3-minute post-ignition window.
WARNING
Always operate the panoramic sunroof controls while your Kia Sorento is completely stationary. Adjusting the sunroof while navigating traffic can distract the driver and lead to a collision.
When stepping away from the vehicle even for brief periods, turn off the ignition, remove the key, and take it with you to prevent children from operating the sunroof controls unsupervised.
Do not sit, stand, lean, or place heavy cargo loads directly onto the panoramic glass panel, as excessive weight can break the glass or damage the power mechanism track.
TIP
Do not attempt to open or slide the panoramic sunroof glass when aftermarket roof crossbars are mounted on the vehicle or when cargo is secured to the roof rack rails.
