Power sunshade

The integrated power sunshade in your Kia Sorento allows you to easily block direct sunlight, reduce heat buildup, and maintain a comfortable cabin temperature without completely opening the glass panel.

• Push the sunroof switch backward to the first detent position to open the shade. The power sunshade will smoothly slide open, allowing ambient light into the passenger compartment.

• Push the sunroof switch forward to the first detent position to close the shade. If the sunroof glass panel is already open when you engage this switch, the system will automatically close the glass before fully extending the sunshade curtain.

To halt the power sunshade at any intermediate position along its track, simply push or pull the sunroof switch briefly in any direction during movement.

NOTE

• Never attempt to force, push, or pull the Kia Sorento power sunshade manually by hand. Manual pressure can derail the guide mechanism, damage the drive cables, or cause severe mechanical malfunction.

• Minor surface wrinkles or subtle folds may naturally form on the fabric material over time due to climate changes and repeated retracting. This is a normal characteristic of the durable interior textiles used.

Tilt open or close

• Push the overhead sunroof switch directly upward to tilt the glass open. The rear edge of the glass panel will elevate to allow fresh air circulation. If the power sunshade is completely closed when you activate the tilt function, it will automatically slide back partially to facilitate airflow.

• Push the switch upward again or push it forward while the sunroof glass is in the tilted position to trigger the closing sequence. The glass panel will lower back down until it seats flush and seals completely against the roof frame.

To interrupt and stop the tilting motion of the glass panel at any desired point, briefly push the switch in any direction.
