If you activate the Extended Rear View Monitor setting on your Kia Sorento, the rear camera feed will continue to display on your central dashboard screen even when you shift your transmission from R (Reverse) into N (Neutral) or D (Drive), giving you continuous visual awareness during complex parking maneuvers.
Rear View Parking Guidance
If you activate the Rear View Parking Guidance setting, dynamic trajectory lines along with Top Rear View Parking Guidance overlays will display directly on the rear monitor, assisting you in accurately aligning your Kia Sorento into tight parking stalls.
Display settings
You can easily adjust the brightness levels (optimized for day or night driving) and overall contrast of the backup camera image within the dedicated Display settings menu to ensure optimal clarity under any lighting conditions.
Depending on your specific Kia Sorento trim level and regional market specifications, certain camera settings menus may vary or not be available.
The horizontal reference lines displayed by the Rear View Parking Guidance feature indicate precise distances from the rear bumper of your vehicle at 20 in (0.5 m), 40 in (1 m), and 91 in (2.3 m).
The horizontal scale shown via Top View Parking Guidance marks the clearance required for tailgate opening as well as a convenient reference distance of 60 in (1.5 m) away from your vehicle.
