Electronic stability control (ESC) indicator light

This indicator light appears in your Kia Sorento:

This indicator light blinks dynamically while the ESC system is actively operating to stabilize your drive.

Electronic stability control (ESC) OFF indicator light

This indicator light appears in your Kia Sorento:

Auto stop indicator light

This indicator light appears when the engine enters Idle Stop mode as part of the ISG (Idle Stop and Go) system on your Kia Sorento.

This indicator light blinks for 5 seconds when the engine starts automatically to resume driving.

TIP

When the engine starts automatically with the ISG system, warning lights such as the ABS, ESC OFF, MDPS, or parking brake warning light may illuminate briefly for a few seconds. This is due to temporary low battery voltage during ignition restart and does not indicate an actual system malfunction.

AUTO HOLD indicator light: (if equipped)

This indicator light appears in your Kia Sorento:

Immobilizer indicator light (without smart key)

This indicator light blinks:

Immobilizer indicator light (with smart key)

This indicator light appears for up to 30 seconds when the Kia Sorento properly detects the smart key inside the vehicle cabin while the ENGINE START/STOP button is in the ACC or ON position. The indicator light will disappear after you start the engine.

This indicator light blinks for a few seconds when the smart key is not detected inside the vehicle. You will not be able to start the engine without the key present.

This indicator light appears for 2 seconds and then disappears when the vehicle cannot detect the smart key inside the vehicle while the ENGINE START/STOP button is ON. In this case, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.

This indicator light blinks:

Turn signal indicator light

This indicator light blinks when you engage the turn signal stalk of your Kia Sorento.

The turn signal system may be malfunctioning and should be inspected by an authorized Kia dealer if the indicator light does any of the following:

Low beam indicator light

This indicator light appears when the exterior headlights are switched ON.

High beam indicator light

This indicator light appears in your Kia Sorento:

High Beam Assist indicator light

This indicator light appears:

Light ON indicator light

This indicator light appears when either the taillights or headlights are turned ON.

Front fog indicator light : (if equipped)

This indicator light appears when the front fog lights are turned ON to improve visibility.

Lane Safety indicator light

This indicator light appears in your Kia Sorento:

The indicator light blinks green when Lane Keeping Assist is actively operating on the road.

Cruise Control indicator light

This indicator light appears when the Smart Cruise Control system is enabled and ready on your Kia Sorento.

Downhill Brake Control (DBC) indicator light

This indicator light appears:

This indicator light blinks when DBC is actively operating.

This indicator light appears yellow when the DBC system is experiencing a malfunction.

In this case, have your vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.

All Wheel Drive (AWD) LOCK indicator light : (if equipped)

This indicator light appears in your Kia Sorento:

NOTE

AWD LOCK mode

Do not use AWD LOCK mode on dry paved roads or highways, as doing so can cause mechanical noise, unwanted vibration, or permanent damage to AWD-related components.

Drive mode indicator light (NORMAL/ECO/SPORT/SMART/SNOW): (if equipped)

This indicator light appears dynamically according to which specific drive mode you select in your Kia Sorento.

Inattentive Driving indicator light : (if equipped)

This indicator light appears:

This indicator light blinks yellow when the Driver Attention Warning recommends that you take a break from driving.
