Kia Sorento: Headlight delay functionIf you press the ENGINE START/STOP button OFF or to ACC with the headlamps ON, the headlamps and parking lights on your Kia Sorento will remain on for approximately 5 minutes.
When the engine is OFF and the driver’s door is opened and shut, the headlamps and parking lights will turn off after 15 seconds.
You can turn off the headlamps and parking lights by pressing the smart key’s lock button twice or turning the light switch to the OFF or AUTO position. Keep in mind that the headlamps will not turn off if you turn the light switch to the AUTO position when it is dark outside.
You can activate or deactivate the Headlight Delay function in the LCD display’s User Settings mode. For more details, refer to LCD display modes. If your vehicle is equipped with additional navigation features, refer to the infotainment system manual supplied separately.
TIP
If the driver exits the Kia Sorento through any door other than the driver’s, the battery saver function will not operate, and the Headlight Delay function will not turn off automatically.
In this case, the battery may discharge. To avoid battery discharge, turn the headlamps off manually using the headlight switch before exiting the vehicle.
