Kia Sorento: Auto stopWhen you depress the brake pedal and bring your Kia Sorento to a complete halt while the Idle Stop and Go system is engaged, the engine cuts out automatically to conserve fuel.
Ensure you bring your vehicle to a complete standstill by applying steady pressure to the brake pedal while the transmission remains shifted into D (Drive) or N (Neutral).

NOTE
If you lift the engine hood while your Kia Sorento is operating in Auto Stop mode, the following specific events take place:
The ISG system deactivates automatically, and the amber indicator light on the physical ISG OFF button switches on.
A safety notification pops up on the driver display:

If you move the gear selector from N (Neutral) into D (Manual mode) or R (Reverse) after an automatic engine shutdown without keeping the brake pedal depressed, the engine will not restart on its own and an audible chime will sound. To re-enable ignition startup, firmly engage the foot brake.
