To modify the Warning Methods preferences on your Kia Sorento while the vehicle ignition is switched ON, access the infotainment screen and navigate through Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Warning Methods to adjust the following options:

Warning Volume: Controls the acoustic output of the alert chimes. Disabling the Warning Volume setting will not completely silence the system, as low-volume safety chimes will still sound during critical alerts to protect you.

Changes applied to your Warning Methods options may also affect other active safety and driver assistance features across your Kia Sorento.

All customized Warning Methods configurations are saved automatically and remain active after shutting down and restarting the vehicle engine.

Depending on your specific vehicle package or trim configuration, the Warning Methods setup menu might not be installed on all models.
Parking Distance Warning Auto On
You can configure your Kia Sorento to activate the Parking Distance Warning automatically whenever you navigate tight spaces at low speeds. To enable the Parking Distance Warning Auto On function, simply access your infotainment system screen and tap Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Parking Safety > Parking Distance Warning Auto On.
CAUTION
When you connect a genuine Kia Trailer Kit to your vehicle, the Reverse Parking Distance Warning deactivates automatically upon plug detection. During towing, the system cannot assist you with rear distance monitoring, so you must exercise heightened caution and rely entirely on your mirrors and direct observation while reversing. An authentic Kia Trailer Kit automatically recognizes when a trailer harness is properly engaged.

When the Parking Distance Warning Auto On feature is active, the dedicated Parking Safety button indicator
