To deter potential theft and protect your belongings, never leave valuable items unattended inside visible vehicle storage compartments.
Always keep storage compartment lids and doors securely closed while the vehicle is in motion. Never attempt to overload any compartment to the point where its latch cannot close completely.
WARNING: Flammable materials safety
Never store pressurized propane cylinders, aerosol cans, lighter fluid, or other flammable and explosive materials inside your vehicle. These items can ignite or rupture violently if the interior of your Kia Sorento is exposed to direct sunlight and high ambient temperatures for extended periods.

To access the deep center console storage compartment in your Kia Sorento, pull upward on the release lever.

You can securely lock and unlock the glove box using the mechanical emergency key (1) integrated into your smart key fob.
To open the glove box, pull the release handle upward, and the dampening mechanism will allow the compartment door to swing open smoothly.
Always make sure to close the glove box securely after retrieving or storing items.
WARNING: Glove box safety
To minimize the risk of facial or knee injuries during a sudden collision or abrupt vehicle stop, always keep the glove box door completely closed while driving your Kia Sorento.
CAUTION
Do not store perishable food items inside the glove box for prolonged periods.
TIP
If the front climate control temperature dial is positioned in the warm or hot zone, conditioned warm air will flow into the glove box compartment.
