Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the tailgate
side trim (A).
(Refer to Body - "Tailgate")

Remove the anti-pinch strip sensor connector.

Remove the anti-pinch strip (A) after removing the clips (5EA).
